Linda Mutschler believes that there are few things nicer than bringing people into her home and sharing great food and inspiring conversation. However, as a top-rated equity analyst for a large Wall Street firm, she found herself at work or traveling virtually all the time. She knew that there were lots of people like her, who wanted to entertain but who had busy schedules and little knowledge about how to go about planning and cooking for a dinner party.

In 2005, after retiring from Wall Street, Linda set out to write Fast Track to Fine Dining. Over the next three years, she tested and retested menus and recipes, using easy-to-find ingredients and providing simple and straightforward directions. For each menu, she developed a detailed timeline so that you, too, can plan and prepare fabulous meals.

Linda has always been interested in setting goals and pursuing new and varied interests. While working on Wall Street, she trained for the 1998 Olympic Trials in Long Track Speedskating, placing 4th in the 5000 meters. During her stay in London, she trained for and ran the London Marathon. Currently living in Milwaukee with her husband and two children, she continues to cook and to test recipes. When not in the kitchen, Linda and her husband spend their time volunteering, focusing their efforts on education and the environment.
